Construction Field Manager

£36,000 a year – Full-time, Contract, Permanent.

Main duties include accountability for the following:

Management of construction and pre pull gangs completing blockage, reinstatement and pre pull activity on the Virgin Media network.

All work needs to meet C&C and clients requirements. These include quality of reinstatement, compaction, proximity rules, site cleared, correct SLG.

As a manager you are field based and should spend 50% of your time in the field supporting crews.

Support yard management in the mornings ensuring crews are equipped for the day ahead.

Complete weekly van audits with each team capturing issued equipment, condition of equipment and ensure your teams are correctly equipped for safe working.

As an when required support Interim & Defect Manager with Interim & Defect activity ensuring all information is recorded and shared to help minimise bad cost

Proactive Client and LA relationship management.

Input daily, weekly KPIs including overall team performance of jobs to field, jobs completed, complaints received/resolved, jobs in perm, left in interim. Your KPI performance will be used for the wider C&C KPI Scorecard/Dashboard.

Live quality and NRSWA compliance audits whilst jobs are in flight.

Be first point of contact for all field team related activities. Provide guidance, advice and on site coaching to promote empowerment.

You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence.

Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence.

Hold a valid NRSWA full Supervisor Street works card, units 1, 10 to 14.

Have extensive working knowledge and supervisory experience on the Virgin Media network.

Experienced in using Microsoft Office Products.

Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions.

Self-motivated and flexible and have the drive to achieve the company and clients targets.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental practices.

Construction Blockage Gangs

Full-time, Contract

Canning and Coyle Construction Ltd are looking for blockage clearance gangs to work on the Virgin Media network.

Location: In and around South London and South East areas.

Good competitive rates on a self-employed basis.

Duties will involve carrying out blockage clearance and installing network duct and cable pulling as required. All reinstatement is expected to be permanent. The crews will complete company paperwork/forms. All work to have photograph taken of before works, during and after and capture all precise measurements and locations on completion.


· Full UK Driving Licence.


· CSCS card preferred.

· NOPs Registered.

· Abrasive wheel.


Minimum 3 years Virgin Media construction activity and cable pulling.

Quality Administration Support

Job Summary:

You will be part of a new team that is being created to support the business growth and quality within Canning & Coyle. As a team member you will be checking work completed by Construction Teams who are following a company standard and process. Part of the process is an automated photo upload process into an internal SharePoint site. Each and every photo needs to be quality checked for auditing purposes. As you check each job/photo an attention to detail is key, as is challenging anything that does meet our standards or look right. We need you and the team to collate your results daily for all Construction Teams giving the business an overview of the team’s performance.

Reports To: Office Manager.

Responsible For: Quality and auditing of field-based activities.

Responsibilities: Timely production of reporting and administration reports

Main duties include accountability for the following:

· Using agreed visual standards to oversee activities/tasks completed by construction teams ensuring their work meets the required C&C standards.
· Escalate work that doesn’t meet or follow company process.
· Ensuring daily reports/trackers are collated and shared with all parties meeting any SLA deadlines.
· Produce daily, weekly reports capturing overall performance of each construction team you are supporting.
· Analyse reports and data to minimize impact on performance.
· As required support all areas of the C&C business with administration tasks as directed by your line manager.
· Weekend working will be required.
